The Nearest Book Meme*
Pass it on to five other bloggers, and tell them to open the nearest book to page 56.
Write out the fifth sentence on that page, and also the next two to five sentences.
The CLOSEST BOOK, NOT YOUR FAVORITE, OR MOST INTELLECTUAL!
*Not my meme, simply ganked because it looked fun.
TAG: Everyone who sees this meme!

I was afraid that my nearest book was my almost late, has been renewed but never opened Scholarship book. I ought to actually read it.... But no, there was a book on top of it. ^.^ Joy. It's just one I wasn't interested in reading, either. =(
[Is so very close to head-high stack of favorite books she can taste it! ARG! I'm so sorry Full Metal Alchemist Manga #16. You're too far away!]

Garden Spells, by Sarah Addison Allen

Did Bay say anything to Claire about David? Did Claire care for Bay? Did she tuck her in, or had Bay been huddled, afraid and lonely, in her room all night in a strange house? "Bay..."

Blah. I could do without a book like this. Why is it still in my room?

Inspired by [info]drscompanion2's TARDIS cursor post, I decided to do some searching for various Doctor Who computer and LJ extras. I thought my fellow fans at [info]doctorwho would also like to see and use them.

Also, I've found the joy that is [info]dwicons. Most of the mood themes I have listed here come from there. They don't just have icons!

Did I miss something? A Mood theme? A screensaver? A layout? Tell me in the comments and I'll add it in. =)

Hello! I found this while messing around on google. ASCII Art! Very fun. =) I always wondered how people made those pretty pictures out of text. Now I know they cheated!
Cut for pictures. Warning! Two large images. )

Too bad it's only daily statistics. I don't really get daily hits. Feel free to put on your own LJs. I'd feel fantastic if I started a trend in Who-fandom!

I've tried to make it DoctorWho-ish, but it can be a regular map, too.

Nice to see the English vs American vs Other Nice Places stats. =D

EDIT: My other Maps/ Polls I posted in [info]doctorwho: For the World. and For the US.

Doctor Who Season 4 Episode 2 Review (Warning, Spoilers~!). )
In Conclusion...

I love Donna. She old enough and strong willed enough that she isn't influenced by the Doctor like the others were. She makes him see things her way. The human way. The humane way.

Spoilers )

I knew Donna was right for the Doctor since Runaway Bride((when she slaps him. Again. Donna: "Are you enjoying this!?")), but this Donna is exactly what he needs. ((I hate myself for saying/thinking this, but)) He doesn't need Rose or Martha or Jack. He doesn't need someone to goad him on, to follow along or to help him; and he definitely doesn't need someone to (hero) worship him. He needs someone to stop him, to show him where he's wrong, to point out his mistakes. He needs to shown that he is a man, because he is a man, and HE IS NOT a God.

And that is why I hated Rose in Season 2. It wasn't just her leaving that makes him this way in Season 2 and 3, it was her being there and not stopping him. Goading him on. =(

Yes, I AM a Rose/Doctor OTP Shipper.
11th-Apr-2008 02:44 pm - Doctor Who: the impossible planet
books
Scootie floats away into the black hole when being sucked out to the planet's surface, right?

So, Why does she float?

They show scenes of people standing on the surface, working, and Evil!Danny standing without a suit, so why would there be enough gravity to withstand the... wind(?) and other things since apparently their gravity isn't artificial ((though Doctor who has always been really bad about small things like gravity)) despite being a tiny planet with a hollow core.

So being sucked out with the oxygen and air apparently get her high up enough that the much much stronger gravity of the black hole took over, beyond the protection of the impossible planet.

Why hasn't this ever happened before to people going out on EVA's?
