Too bad it's only daily statistics. I don't really get daily hits. Feel free to put on your own LJs. I'd feel fantastic if I started a trend in Who-fandom!

I've tried to make it DoctorWho-ish, but it can be a regular map, too.

BS! Your're lending a helping hand to the idea that women are INFERIOR!

"When she pushes you or hits you like a RETARD cuz she thinks shes stronger than you,
[Grab her and dont let go.]"

Dont spread lies like this around, guys might believe it, or use it as justification! This isn't true at all! We KNOW we arn't stronger than them, we just use pushing for emphasis. Jesus, you make us sound like stuid blonds.

Stuff like that is more insidious (worse) than saying stuff like "women are weak" or "women shouldn't vote" or "thats a mans job" becuase people don't automatically bitch at you for saying it.

And it's not just that one line, it's the entire friggen thing too!

29th-Jan-2008 01:16 pm - This is Horrible!!
books

The lives actors lead are horrifyingly amazing! Famous people can't even walk down the street without a disguise or else be goggled at.

While some live on the fame, it is no excuse to act like you can know or ask anything about the person in question.

Look here. I am ashamed and embarassed for all the people in the audiance and on stage. What gives us the right to know every tiny little detail of these people's lives?! Then again, he could've just disinclined the invitation to the show.

Sci-Fi breeds a special kind of obsession. An example of this is Trekies and Star Wars Freaks. All Sci-fi has this. SciFi is about immersing yourself into the fantasy, and immerse we do. This obsession leads to not just knowing everything about the show, but knowing everything about the actors /production /design details/ plot details/ thrown away script suggestions/ etc.

If I was to act, it wouldn't be in one of the big brand sci-fi series. Maybe not any sci-fi production, to be safe. I am shy at heart, and could not deal with the constant attention that these actors gain, not for their acting skills (though it helps), but for the fact that they play a character that people obsessively love/hate.

I would not want reporters sticking mics in my face at wedding and funerals. I would not want people comming up to me to ask questions about my sex life. And I definately would not want strange people calling me all hours of the day to ask personal questons!

All actors and famous people deal with this in one degree or another, but it is in my opinion that sci-fi tends to breed people that think it's not only socially acceptable, but necessary to do so!

I guess, in the end, people want to know how other people live their lives to see how their own life measures up.

26th-Jan-2008 05:10 am - Senses
books
It's commonly accepted that humans only have 5 senses. Taste, touch, hearing, smell, and sight. If there was a 6th sense, people would say that it would be some sort of paranormal sense, a catch-all for spirit seeing, empathy, telepathy, and instinctive bad feelings.

I do not believe this to be true.

Included in our normal repitoir of senses there should be one more: Balance.

19th-Jan-2008 05:46 am - the friends list
books
I have discovered this thing called the friends list, which updates everyone i've set to watch(communities) or friended(journals). Cool. Don't have too many cross-posting problems yet, but that might change as I add more in.

So, if you're here because some random, unknown person just friended you it's probably for one of the following reasons:

1. (or a.) I love your fanfiction to the extent that I would rather know it straight from your livejournal rather than waiting for it to be posted on one of my watched comms. ((this is you, rabid.))

2. (or II) You post in diffrent universes (such as, say, Highlander) and I can't be sure of catching all of your fics.

and C. (or 3 or iii) I just genuinely like what you post on your journal and this it is thought-provoking, useful, or funny. This is for all of you, even if another reason above applies.

P.S. @.@ Reminder: never again use spellcheck. Badness It's picking up spaces or some reason *.* lots of " "s everywhere!
